النتائج المجمعة لتأثير بعض المبيدات المعنية على الغدد الصماء فى الجرذان

خلاصـــة

أدى الاستخدام المتنامى لبعض المبيدات إلى اعتلال فى الغدد الصماء مما يؤثر على كثير من الأجهزة الحيوية بالجسم وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تجميع نتائج الأبحاث التى أجريت لتقدير مستوى الهرمونات فى الجرذان باستخدام الطرق المناعية الإشعاعية. تم تجميع هذه النتائج من الدراسات التى أجريت فى قسم النظائر المشعة بالتعاون مع مراكز البحوث المختلفة والتى تم نشرها فى دوريات متخصصة. ومن تجميع نتائج هذه الأبحاث، يمكن أن نوصى بتجميع معلومات أخرى عن الدراسات الوبائية التى أجريت فى مصر وكذلك الدراسات التى تمت على حيوانات التجارب ومحددة الـ Endpoints وكذلك نوصى باندماج هذه الأبحاث مع أبحاث وزارتى الزراعة والصحة من أجل إمكانية التعاون المشترك لأجل أن تساهم هذه النتائج المجمعة من خلال هذه الدراسة فى تقييم المخاطر الصحية والبيئية لهذه المبيدات إذا ما أتيحت الفرصة لتقليلها أو اجتنابها.

ABSTRACT

Some pesticides have been linked to endocrine disruption. The endocrine system participates virtually in all important functions of an organism. The objective of the current review is to compile the available data in literatures on the effect of the primary pesticides of concern (POC) on endocrine system of the rats. The determination of the hormonal levels was carried out utilizing radioimunoassay (RIA). The required data were collected from the peer review journals of the work carried out at Radioisotope Department, Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, Egypt, in cooperation with other institutes.

It could be recommended that researchers should not stick to the old frame work in which they presume that pesticides have a limited effect on some hormones. A paradigm shift in which a wider and wiser understanding of the complete effects of pesticides on the whole body rather than few hormones should be considered. Future work should include compiling data from the laboratory animal test model with endpoints and compiling epidemiological data carried out in Egypt. The work carried out by the Radioisotope Department might be in corporate with the work carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health. The compiled data obtained from the current review could help in the risk assessment studies of POC if they should be mitigated or avoided.
